Whilst Rashays is reasonably new to Queensland, (with 3 restaurants so far in Redbank, Ipswich and Toombul and more to come), it is definitely one to add to your bucketlist. With all your modern Australian faves, you will be spoiled for choice whether you are heading there for breakfast, lunch or dinner (or just a snack after school!)
Recently we were invited to have dinner at the lovely Rashays restaurant in Toombul, so we could report back to you on our experience.
Located right at the front of the Toombul shopping centre, Rashays is a delightful restaurant for the entire family. The venue is easy to find, just look for the orange & black signage.
We think this might be he next BIG thing in family friendly dining, here’s why:

We are lucky to be able to eat at lots of different restaurants so we have lots to compare this to. What stands out about Rashays is the huge range of fresh food options they have on their menu. There is literally an option for every taste from kids to adults, you will find something to suit your preferences.
You can choose from:
- Share plates
- Bread & starters
- Salads & hot specials
- Pasta & risotto
- Chicken & seafood
- Kids menu
You can see from the photos above what we chose and what it looked like. The adults had chicken, ribs and beef salad; the kids had Angus beef lasagne x2 and a chicken schnitzel burger. We were so full after our meals that we had to share 3 desserts between the 6 of us!
We loved the food!! The portions were large, and the food was DELICIOUS, tender meat and fresh ingredients and that is definitely what you want when you go out for a meal!
Service at Rashays
The friendly wait staff told us about their new additions to the menus including their new range of shakes… how good do these look….
The staff were attentive and our meals were brought out only about 15 minutes after we had ordered!
We were also given kids activity packs with a booklet and crayons so the kids were occupied while the adults looked over the menu and chatted after ordering.

Not only was the food delicious, but the restaurant itself was large and comfortable. All the facilities were also clean. The toilets are located out of the restaurant and are part of the shopping centre.
Obviously being located in a shopping centre, there is plenty of parking… and there is no hourly limit or paid parking at Toombul.
The area seemed very casual and relaxed. On the evening that we had dinner, most of the other customers were also families.
The absolute highlight of this restaurant is the huge range of amazing fresh food on offer! You can see from our photos above, that the choices are good and the meals are of a high quality.
As weird as this might sound, I was really impressed with the layout of the menu. Having such a large range of options on the menu, it was really easy to see what was on offer, what it looked like and how much it cost.
We were there for dinner but the restaurant seemed to have a nice atmosphere throughout the day. Please keep in mind it is on the edge of a car park, so there is nowhere really for the kids to run around.
We couldn’t write a review without mentioning their Rashays Rewards Club. You get:
- 10% off on dine-in each visit
- $12 pizza and pasta each Monday and Tuesday
- kids eat free every Sunday dine in
- a $10 birthday voucher
The membership cost is only $10 for 12 months and you can join here.
I also noted they have a $10 chicken pitta & chips deal on at the moment. And all hot drinks inc coffees, teas and hot chocolate are all $2 all day every day all sizes and milk types.
The restaurant had a nice vibe about it. Everyone loved their meals. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and the facilities were also good! Overall this is a great place for families to have breakfast, brunch, lunch, an after school snack or dinner. Make a trip to Rashays (Toombul, Ipswich or Redbank) – you wont regret it!
