The newly renovated Brighton Metro Hotel has now become a top destination for all families. Whilst this establishment has been popular for over 175 years, the modernization and addition of a mouth-watering all you can eat buffet, sports bar, and a kids area. The play area has plenty of toys, games, and even screens to watch movies on! My kids would not let us leave until their screening of Finding Nemo was over.

2. Christies Beach Hotel | Christies Beach

Christies Beach Hotel is the best kid friendly pub in Adelaide for families that are seeking a hot summer beach day. With plenty of outdoor dining areas and a kid’s playground, this venue is perfect for getting some sunshining while enjoying some classic pub favourites. Their extensive menu offers variety, ranging from seafood classics to lamb. Hot tip: I could not recommend their sticky date pudding more! Even ordered one to take home and eat as a midnight snack.

3. The Bridgewater Inn | Bridgewater

The Bridgewater Inn is the best kid friendly pub to go if you’re a nature enthusiast. Located just a 20 minute drive out from Adelaide, this picturesque pub has a massive open outdoor dining space. I felt like I was in a fairytale! And I could not believe this, but they have nature play area, perfect for my kids.

They spent hours on end playing in the creek that goes through the establishment, exploring and climbing rocks (safely- I watched them like a hawk the entire time). Not only is this venue pet friendly, but dogs even have their own menu! Someone pinch me, because I feel like I’m in a dream.

4. Exeter Hotel | Adelaide City

The Exeter Hotel is one of the coolest pubs I have ever stepped foot in. Immediately, as you walk in, you get this retro, grunge, vibe. There’s an indoor playground, which is the perfect way to keep a close eye on your kids while you enjoy your food and soak in your surroundings. This is the best kid friendly pub if you’re looking for that classic, bar feel.

5. Schnithouse | Hilton

Not only does the Schnithouse serve the schnitzel you’ll ever taste, but it has these humongous tube-slides, catering to every child’s dreams. My kids would not leave. “One more! One more!”, they would say. And then go ten more times.

6. The Belair Hotel | Blackwood

The Belair Hotel is a favourite for both locals and tourists alike. With an amazing kids menu that will please even the fussiest of eaters, a kids chill out zone (how great is that?!), and a playground that will keep the kids busy for hours. Our family loved this venue, I’m sure yours would too!

7. Paradise Hotel | Paradise

You will not believe this- I couldn’t, at first. Paradise hotel has not one, but two cinema rooms with big screens showcasing various different kids movies to keep children entertained while the adults talk for hours on end. This is the best pub with those who have kids that are movie lovers. My kids enjoyed watching Finding Dory while we, the adults, were able to catch up peacefully. Will definitely be returning here, and I cannot recommend this pub enough to your family.

The Rezz Hotel has both an indoor playground for kids to climb and run around, and a playroom. Filled with arcade and video games, this venue is the best for families that have children with different interests: there’s something here for everyone.

The Marryatville Hotel is the best kid friendly pub in Adelaide for families looking for a relaxed, chill afternoon. It features a massive playground, perfect for the kids to run around in and get rid of some of that youthful energy before having a delicious meal. Their kids menu is extensive, with many options to choose from.

Located just minutes outside of the CBD, the Parkside Hotel is a local treasure! They have an entire area dedicated to kids, endearingly called “Bob & Olives”. The play area, which is gated for safety reasons, features various games, toys, and a big screen to keep the kids entertained while the adults enjoy their exquisite drinks menu. Not only this, but The Parkside Hotel does “build a pizza” kids parties. My little ones made me promise we’d be coming back here for their birthdays next year, they were so excited!
