Cohunu Koala Park is a wildlife sanctuary on 14 ha of bushland at Byford, near Perth, Western Australia. It features not only koalas, but also dingoes, kangaroos, emus, wallabies, eagles, wombats, echidnas, black swans, cockatoos, and lifelike replicas of dinosaurs.

43. Broome Bird Observatory | Broome

Free entry! Here you’ll find a large aviary display manned by a large number of friendly, knowledgeable volunteers. This is a great spot for bird spotters and feathered fans in your family.

44. Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park | Pinjarra

Located on the banks of the Murray River in Pinjarra, Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park is home to over 100 native and exotic animal species. This centre prides itself on being a ‘hands on’ zoo, giving the kids a chance to feed the animals, hold snakes (safely!), and tickle a ferret. I had to practically be dragged away from their Rufous Bettong. In addition to this, this zoo offers FREE BBQ facilities.
