6. Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House
The Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) is located in the Old Parliament House. Here you and the kids will journey through Australia’s political history. The kids were intrigued by the history behind the building and enjoyed interactive displays and guided tours. It’s an excellent opportunity to teach children about the country’s democracy in an engaging way. We loved the kids play room full of kids books, toys, dress ups and soft play/bean bags.

The engaging guides make learning about politics fun and accessible for children, ensuring that they leave with a newfound appreciation for the country’s government. You can even go into both the House of Representatives and Senate chambers, whether it is a sitting week or not!
