From the moment we stepp into any cat cafés in Sydney, NSW we never want to leave. Sydney has three cat cafes on offer for families, and we visited them all to report back to you guys! This helpful article gives you a detailed overview of each cat cafe, including what our family loved the most from our visits!

Fun fact! Cat cafes are proven to help visitor’s mental health! Any excuse to visit a cat cafe if you ask me 😉

1. Catmosphere Cat Cafe

This is absolutely the BEST cat cafe in Sydney! If you love cats (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t?), you should check out Catmosphere, Sydney’s oldest cat cafe that fosters and rehomes rescue cats and kittens.

Catmosphere has SO MANY different experiences to suit both your mood, and your budget:
  • Cat Lounge: Our family absolutely adored this experience, especially the kids! The cat lounge lets you come and unwind with more than 13 lovely adult cats. It’s the ideal way to relax, relieve stress, and bond with some beloved feline friends. Priced at just $25 per person, this is a delightful activity for anyone aged 8 and up.
  • Treehouse: This was a real hit with us, as our little ones couldn’t get enough of the playful junior cats. Step into a tropical paradise complete with hanging plants, and a charming balcony, for just $25 per person. It’s perfect for those aged 5 and up who want to enjoy quality time with these lively feline companions.
  • Kittyland: Our hearts melted when we had a blast with these adorable rescue kittens. They’re not only incredibly cute but also socialized and available for adoption. (Ms 12 was determined that we were taking a cat home with us!) Prepare for an abundance of snuggles and laughter during this heart-warming experience, designed for all ages 5 and up. You won’t want to miss it at just $25 per person.
  • Catflix Cat Cinema: Hands down, this was our absolute favourite! There’s nothing quite like watching a movie on a big screen surrounded by rescued adult cats. It’s a fantastic choice for a family night out, a fun outing with friends, or even a date night for the parents. At $35 per person, this cinematic experience is available for those aged 8 and up.
This isn’t even everything on offer at the Catmosphere cafe, there were so many more options, including cat yoga! We can’t wait to go back!

You can also buy gift cards or sponsor the cats and kittens to support Catmosphere’s mission. We loved our visit to Catmosphere and we think you will too! ?

2. Yumaio Cat Cafe

This is Sydney’s BIGGEST Cat Cafe! We absolutely loved the Yumaio Cat Cafe! We found that the staff working here were super friendly and helpful! They introduced all the cats to us, adding a really special level of personalisation. The parents also noticed that the venue is also incredibly clean.

Get Out With Kids Tip: There is no age limit for the general enterance passes, but multi visit plans require you to be aged over 12 years.

Ms 8 LOVED the cats! We really struggled to get her to leave at the end of our session. We opted for the 30 minute session, which looking back was definitely too short! We’d recommend spending at least 45 minutes here, but session durations range from 30 minutes, to an hour, but there is also an all day option if you fancy!

We visited on a weekend, and found that it was reasonably busy, so we could not stress the importance of booking ahead! This way you can guarantee your place with the feline friends!

3. Pokemeow

Best Cat Cafes Sydney
The cats at Pokemeow!

Last but not least, Pokemeow is Sydney’s third and final cat cafe. Our visit here was extraordinary! We cannot explain how delicious the food was here! Master 16 loved the beef angus burger with pineapple, while Master 14 absolutely loved the pesto risotto, which was made with their homemade pasta. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available, but we didn’t try any. The staff were also incredibly friendly and polite!

The cat playground booking cost $20, and included a $5 cafe voucher! The cafe was also incredibly clean, making the Pokemeow a must visit for cat lovers, we couldn’t recommended it more!

Get Out With Kids Tip: Visitors must be aged 7 and above to access the cat playground! But there is no age limit on the general cafe 🙂

Please remember prices are subject to change, please check their website for latest prices and updates.
