Some 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD on the Redcliffe Peninsula with absolute waterfront location, you will find this delightful place. This is a seafood lover’s paradise with the freshest of fare served straight from the trawlers within the local harbour.
This is more of a traditional seafood restaurant, however there are share platters available for two. A choice is available from the signature dishes which include such items as oysters Kilpatrick, Crumbed fish, prawns, calamari, fish wings and every other type of seafood you can think of. If you prefer not to share (and with these dishes available, it would be hard to!), why not try some of the many solo dishes available.

2. Gambaro | Brisbane CBD
This seafood giant within the centre of Brisbane CBD, specifically the lively area of Caxton Street is just a short walk from the Suncorp Stadium and has been around since 1953. Although they specialise in seafood, non-seafood dishes are on offer here so there is something for all tastes.
The seafood is very fresh, with a lobster tank on site. The restaurant is a la carte, however, a banquet option is available from $99 which offers a set menu including such treats as Calamari, Sashimi, Prawn cutlets and King Prawn Cocktail. However, the a la carte menu also caters to small groups incorporating a number of share platters of both hot and cold options. A specific kids menu is also available.

3. George’s Paragon Seafood Restaurant | Brisbane CBD
Overlooking the Brisbane River and views to the Story Bridge, this specialist seafood restaurant offers a variety of seafood. Whilst not specifically buffet style, we could not leave this one out due to the amount of seafood options available.
As the name suggests, its owners origins are Greek and 3 course menu options are taken from a series of Greek islands. Prices are very reasonable with the 3 course menu options around the $40 mark, but many options are available. If you wish for something a little European with a great location and outlook over the water, this is the option for you!!

4. Reef Seafood and Sushi | Newstead
This Japanese inspired venue is located north of Brisbane close to the city centre. It has famed locally for its poke bowls and oysters which receive rave reviews. It has a grocers onsite so that you can buy ingredients to take away with you. Bento Boxes, Sushi and Sashimi are available to eat together with a choice of share platters for up to 4 guests. Take out is available and kids are very welcome. Prices are reasonable.

5. Sea Fuel | West End
Located in the trendy West End of Brisbane, this family run venue offers a number of share plates/platters or a take out option if preferred. The area is well known for its vast array of bars and restaurants and bustling night life and is very close to the city centre.
Family dinners (6 piece or 9 piece) are available. Share platters are available and also a kid friendly menu. Share plates incorporate such favourites as calamari, prawn cutlets, baby octopus, sea scallops amongst various types of fish on offer!

6. Yellowfin Seafood and Grill | South Bank
A variety of meals are available from this establishment and the ingredients are sourced from local markets so the produce is very fresh. There are three locations for this local, but the South Bank venue allows you the option to walk around the many tourist options such as the Wheel of Brisbane and along the river bank.
Dinner service starts from 5.00pm and is open till late with both indoor and alfresco dining available. Share plates include a lobster and bugs platter and a seafood platter which includes such favourites as Moreton Bay Bugs, grilled prawn skewers, calamari, half mud crab and scallops.
