This contemporary style Japanese restaurant is the epitome of seafood buffet style food. Located in the inner city eastern suburb of Sydney, this restaurant provides a variety of platter style foods with a specific menu based on 10-12 people sharing which allows for the ultimate in banqueting style eating! Foods featured include kingfish, squid tempura, fresh sashimi, chef selection of rolls, and meat style dishes are also available.
Kids are welcome and there is a kid-specific menu available. Yep, that’s right not one ….. but two locations close to Sydney, not too far from the city. Spanning some 36 kms and 16 kms respectively west and south-west of Sydney CBD, these two seafood giants are available to digest some beautiful seafood buffet style delights. Situated in a beautiful art deco and very grand building of the City Mutual Building, this stunning architectural building is home to the Rockpool Bar & Grill. Although this steers away from the traditional buffet style look, it is recognised as a gourmet favourite and plays host to a huge variety of seafood (as well as other foods).
The seafood selection includes high end foods such as caviar, together with Tuna, Kingfish, charcoal roasted seafood, king prawns and the list goes on. Prices vary and are reasonable starting from mid-twenties and upward for a main meal. Well, this couldn’t be left out of the list; this establishment is owned and run by celebrity chef Matt Moran and if that’s not enough, it overlooks the famous Bondi Beach. That said, there are a number of options from bar snacks, individual meals and the share option. The share menu offers dishes ranging from what would be considered to be starters, to main menu options and also dessert menu options so you could share your entire meal from start to finish!

The buffet is brought to your table in a twist on the traditional buffet style. The venue is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner with an all inclusive package for dinner available Thursday evenings, and throughout the weekend.
Patrons are able to choose from seafood such as tiger prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, and local Sydney rock oysters as well as food from around the world including the Raw Sushi bar, a taste of India, Flavours of Asia and the Mediterranean and finished with a dessert selection.
