Various packages are available which include drinks and provides the ability to sit at a window seat guaranteeing those gorgeous views.  Packages start from $70 per person for lunch midweek and increase to $90 for that guaranteed window view and as a thank you, the first drink is free!  There are also VIP packages available which include entry to the observation deck and photography packages as a keepsake memento.

This contemporary style Japanese restaurant is the epitome of seafood buffet style food.  Located in the inner city eastern suburb of Sydney, this restaurant provides a variety of platter style foods with a specific menu based on 10-12 people sharing which allows for the ultimate in banqueting style eating!  Foods featured include kingfish, squid tempura, fresh sashimi, chef selection of rolls, and meat style dishes are also available.  Kids are welcome and there is a kid-specific menu available.  There are a variety of packages available, from a sampling menu which is a cheaper option and allows you to trial foods, to a full on 7 course degustation menu. Situated in a beautiful art deco and very grand building of the City Mutual Building, this stunning architectural building is home to the Rockpool Bar & Grill.  Although this steers away from the traditional buffet style look, it is recognised as a gourmet favourite and plays host to a huge variety of seafood (as well as other foods). 

The seafood selection includes high end foods such as caviar, together with Tuna, Kingfish, charcoal roasted seafood, king prawns and the list goes on.  Prices vary and are reasonable starting from mid-twenties and upward for a main meal.  This is a pleasurable experience for the senses; taking in the breathtaking building whilst sampling some very fine foods on offer!

Open 7 days a week and offering food from 8 am, this restaurant offers the ‘platter’ experience.  There are many foods to sample here in delightful surroundings within Darling Harbour.  Starting with a platter for one which offers a variety of seafood including oysters, prawns, bugs, smoked salmon, this gives those who find selecting just one type of food, the ability to incorporate many types of seafood on one plate – particularly useful for those who don’t want to share!!  However, for those who want to banquet style eat, there is the option to order share platters of seafood.  Lobsters are also available and in different sizes to accommodate different appetites!!

Darling Harbour with its crescent-shaped harbour filled with plenty of hussle, great atmosphere and liveliness is the backdrop for this venue.  With such seafood favourites as prawns, calamari, fish, scallops and the option to utilise these in a platter style to share with others, makes this venue particularly appealing.  There is a kids menu available and other options include pizzas and a Greek twist mezze option.  They even deliver to your boat if you happen to be docked at the marina!! Prices are very reasonable; a cold seafood plate will set you back $28 for one or $56 for two, and a Fisherman’s platter for two will cost $85, but many options are available.

If you are looking for a little theatre with your dining experience, this is right up your street, with live cooking from the chefs to keep patrons entertained.  The buffet is brought to your table in a twist on the traditional buffet style.  The venue is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner with an all inclusive package for dinner available Thursday evenings, and throughout the weekend for a cost of $130 per person which includes tea and coffee.
